25-Seven introduces broadcast delay with Livewire

13 March 2008, Cleveland Ohio, USA

Axia Audio partner 25-Seven Systems Inc. won two major industry awards at NAB 2008 with the introduction of the Program Delay Manager (“PDM”), a new profanity-delay unit that connects directly to Axia networks using a Livewire IP-Audio interface.

“We struck gold in Vegas,” says Rick Sawyer, Vice President of 25-Seven Systems. “The Axia Livewire version of our new Program Delay Manager brought an extraordinary response from booth visitors, which lasted the entire length of the show.”

Program Delay Manager with Livewire was such a hit that it earned both the Radio World “Cool Stuff” award and a Radio “Pick Hit”.

PDM is Livewire-ready for interconnection via IP to Axia networks or other Livewire-equipped devices. The 25- Seven Program Delay Manager (PDM) offers full protection against unwanted broadcast content with its unique PD Alert system, which enables the program director and/or other key personnel to receive an e-mail notification when program material is blocked from airing. The email also includes an audio file containing the content deleted by Program Delay Manager.

Program Delay Manager joins the well-known Audio Time Manager as the second 25-Seven product to feature Livewire connectivity.

25-Seven Systems is part of a growing list of Axia partners offering products that integrate with Axia IP-Audio networks. The Axia IP-Audio system allows broadcasters to build audio networks of any size using standard switched Ethernet to connect a few rooms, or an entire facility. Axia networks have a total system capacity of more than 10,000 audio streams, and can carry hundreds of digital stereo (or nearly a hundred surround) channels over a single CAT-6 cable, eliminating much of the cost normally associated with wiring labor and infrastructure.
