Omnia Audio President and Founder Frank Foti Hits the Road

Industry Leader Discusses New Technologies for Cleaner Sounding Radio

1 July 2010 Cleveland, OH USA

Omnia Audio president and founder Frank Foti is taking his wealth of knowledge on the road with several presentations and papers in the second half of 2010. Foti will talk about the Omnia team’s design philosophy incorporated in the recently announced Omnia.11, as well as sharing his decades of experience as one of the industry pioneers in creating compelling sounding radio.

"Processing for radio has been my passion since my days as chief at New York’s groundbreaking Z-100," says Frank Foti. "I look forward to talking about our work to improve the sound of radio without sacrificing loudness, and showing off the new Omnia.11 FM."

Foti’s first stop will be with the Central Canada Broadcast Engineers (CCBE) on September 18 in Barrie Ontario Canada, where he will present the paper "CLEANER… Yet Still Loud!," discussing processing-induced inter-modulation distortion and the research that led to breakthroughs in the Omnia.11.

Next up will be the Radio Show (formerly known as NAB Radio) in Washington DC. On October 1, Foti will participate on the panel "Ask The Experts: Creative Audio Processing."

Foti then heads down under for the CRA (Commercial Radio Australia) National Radio Conference, October 15-16 in Melbourne Australia. He will once again present "CLEANER… Yet Still Loud!"

On October 26 at the Wisconsin Broadcasters Clinic, Foti will discuss single-sideband stereo generation in the paper "Efficient Use of FM Composite."

Wrapping up the tour in November, Foti will be at the 129th AES Convention in San Francisco November 4-7. He will participate in three panel discussions, on listening fatigue, processing for coded audio, and loudness.
