Intelligent, connected broadcast equipment to debut at BroadcastAsia
29 May 2015 Cleveland Ohio, USA
The Telos Alliance, the USA’s most innovative developer of broadcast technology, arrives at BroadcastAsia 2015 in Singapore with exciting new products for radio and TV broadcasters — a networked SDI audio interface and innovative new handheld audio bitstream analyzer from Linear Acoustic, a new networked radio mixing desk from Axia Audio, FM audio processors from Omnia Audio, IP codecs from Telos, and Telos Alliance streaming audio encoding products.
“2015 marks Telos’ 30th anniversary, and we’re celebrating with multiple new product introductions from Linear Acoustic, Telos, Omnia, Axia,” says Marty Sacks, VP of Sales, Support and Marketing. “From the remarkable new MT2000™ digital audio bitstream analyser to a huge selection of AES67-compliant mixing consoles and audio interfaces, visitors to BCA 2015 will see some very cool new tech at the Telos Alliance stand!”
New Telos Alliance products shown at BroadcastAsia 2015 include:
The Linear Acoustic MT2000™ Multichannel Bitstream Analyzer, an efficient, handheld next-generation tool for PCM and Dolby® encoded audio generation and analysis and end-to-end system testing in digital broadcast plants. MT2000 can monitor and generate Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby E, and PCM bitstreams; built-in test-signal generator allows quick monitoring and integrity checks of Dolby encoded and PCM signals. Standard interfaces include AES, MADI, TOSLINK™ Optical, HD/SD-SDI.
DVB-ASI I/O and HDMI inputs are available as optional features.
The SDI xNode from Linear Acoustic builds on the success of the popular Axia xNode AoIP interfaces, bridging HD/SD-SDI audio channels into the Livewire+ (which includes AES-67) Audio over IP domain. Audio from dual HD/SD-SDI inputs can be de-embedded and routed to the AoIP network, or shuffled and re-embedded into the SDI outputs. Compensating video delay for each SDI input maintains audio/video sync. For the first time, TV facilities can now take advantage of fully distributed I/O and Audio over IP for HD/SD-SDI signals, allowing incredibly flexible audio routing and distribution. Combine with Linear Acoustic AERO.soft and Axia Analog or AES/EBU xNodes as necessary for a completely distributed, scalable, high-density, and future-resistant audio processing solution.
The Axia Fusion modular AoIP mixing console, with capabilities refined from a decade of AoIP experience. Fusion features 4 Program and 4 Auxiliary mixing buses, voice dynamics and EQ, automatic mix-minus, integrated IFB/Talkback. Virtual Mixer technology, with 16 five-channel VMixers, extends mixing capacity. Beautiful anodized metal surfaces feature rub-proof laser-etched markings and high-resolution OLED displays.
The Omnia.7 FM audio processor gives broadcasters premium features and spectacular audio performance at a surprisingly low price. Omnia.7 includes much-talked-about “Undo” Technology that re-creates peaks lost in poorly mastered musical tracks, a Psychoacoustic Controlled Distortion Masking Clipper which removes virtually all distortion detectable by the human ear, and the Omnia Toolbox with built-in oscilliscopes, audio Real-Time Analysers and FFT tools, with optional outputs for Streaming Processing/Encoding. Intuitive Basic user interface makes it simple to get great sound; Expert mode can be used for precision audio tuning.
The Telos Alliance Z/IPStream family of audio streaming hardware and software makes it easy for broadcasters to pre-process, encode and send multiple channels of streaming audio to Internet-connected listeners using cell phones, tablets and PCs. Z/IPStream products include audio processing tools from Omnia Audio, Adaptive Streaming technology to process and encode audio for distribution to multiple platforms and bit-rates simultaneously, genuine Fraunhofer IIS codecs, and support for popular streaming distribution platforms such as ICEcast, SHOUTcast, Adobe Flash Media Server, LimeLight, Akamai and more.
Z/IP ONE with AES/EBU is the newest IP-Audio Codec from Telos. Designed to deliver excellent remotes from public IP networks and mobile phone data services, exclusive Agile Connection Technology (ACT) delivers reliable audio despite varying network conditions. Included Z/IP Server service helps connect to Z/IP codecs behind firewalls and NATs. Analog, AES/EBU and Livewire+ input choices, plus IP connection via wired LAN or WiFi make Z/IP ONE an exceptionally versatile broadcast codec for studio or OB remotes.
An enhanced Telos Zephyr iPort PLUS hosts 8 bi-directional stereo codecs (or 16 one-way encoders / decoders) plus 8 more linear audio channels, all within the space of 2RU — perfect for high-density network transmission via IP links. Zephyr iPort PLUS adds a sophisticated Time Zone Delay option that allows storage and delayed playback of multiple channels of received audio for synchronized delivery of networked programming across multiple time zones. Works with private WANs, IP-radio links, even Public Internet connections. AAC, AAC-LD, HE-AAC (plus v2), MP2, MP3 and linear coding standard; aptX® Enhanced coding optional.
