Telos TWO Dual Digital Hybrid Is A Breakthrough For Call Segments

SAN FRANCISCO, September 20, 2000

Faster call set-up, better call supervision and management and excellent on-air quality are the features improving call segments on radio programs with the Telos TWO Dual Digital Telephone Hybrid.

“The Telos TWO is one of our breakthrough products in broadcast telephony,” explained Steve Church, CEO of Telos. “We’ve built our reputation on making telephone products that deliver superior audio for stations and simplify the lives of talk show producers. It’s never been this easy to produce great-sounding talkshows and phone segments.”

Telos TWO interfaces directly to digital phone services, creating an all-digital path from the telco CO to the studio. The benefits are truly independent send and receive paths, virtual elimination of induced noise and distortion, fast call set-up and crystal-clear digital caller audio.

Each Telos TWO contains two digital hybrids in a single 2-RU rack space, making it easy to conference callers internally with no external equipment. Both AES/EBU and analog inputs and outputs are provided, as well as Ethernet connectivity.

The Telos TWO also features unmatched send and receive separation using Telos’ timetested Adaptive Cancellation technology. Each hybrid automatically adjusts to phone line conditions, eliminating hollowness, feedback and distortion. Sophisticated AGC limiting and three-band digital dynamic EQ keep caller audio levels consistent. And the Telos Two has user-friendly front panel menus, meters and keypad to make set-up and operation a breeze.
