Axia® Introduces Voceware as Latest Livewire® Partner

AoIP Ecoystem Expands to Include U.K.-based Software Maker

Voceware

The Telos Alliance® welcomes U.K.-based Voceware as its latest Axia partner, further expanding the list of broadcast software platforms that integrate with Livewire® AoIP networks.

Voceware’s VClock acts as a Livewire/Axia GPIO Node so broadcasters can interface easily with Axia consoles. VMeters also interface with Axia Audio nodes to display sound levels.

“Livewire is a fantastic protocol, making it exceptionally easy for Voceware products to be interfaced to the real world. VClock can be interfaced with standard GPIO, but it’s time-consuming, messy, and costly,” says founder Chris Voce. “Livewire support is achieved by the end user simply by checking a box, and that’s it! Then they just act on any Livewire GPIO they want to, on the entire network. Same goes for VMeters. The cost of audio cards, and wiring them, is no match for a simple network cable. I am really proud that Voceware has attained Axia Partner status, recognizing VClock as a well-integrated product. The prestige that comes with being an Axia Partner opens VClock up to a whole new user base.”

“Innovative partners with cool offerings like Voceware make the AoIP ecosystem even more useful to broadcasters. We’re happy to welcome them as our newest Livewire partner,” says Marty Sacks, Vice President of Sales, Support and Marketing for the Telos Alliance.

Livewire is the pioneering technology invented by the Telos Alliance to convey low-delay, high-reliability audio over switched Ethernet, allowing an entire facility to be wired in hours, instead of weeks. Now installed in more than 5,500 studios worldwide, Livewire uses standard Ethernet cable to connect more than 60,000 devices, making broadcasters’ lives simpler through easy mixing and routing of audio, GPIO control, and program associated data.

Voceware joins more than 80 Livewire partners. Unlike other systems that use proprietary software and tightly control access to their systems, Axia has been open with its technology from the beginning to better the broadcast industry, inviting other manufacturers to be Axia partners and allowing potential partners to build Livewire technology directly into their products with no per-unit licensing fee.
