Cleveland, Ohio (March 14, 2025) - Telos Alliance®, trusted global leader in broadcast audio for more than three decades, will demonstrate a comprehensive catalog of new features and capabilities across its lineup of Linear Acoustic® Next Generation Audio products at the 2025 NAB Show.
Among these are support for NMOS IS-04 for network registration and discovery and IS-05 for connection management for all NGA products, including the LA-5291 Processional Audio Encoder, LA-5300 Broadcast Audio Processor, and UPMAX® ISC Immersive Soundfield Controller.
The LA-5300 will benefit from a unique list of new features, including Dolby® Digital Plus with Atmos encoding for Atmos workflows where Dolby AC4 is not employed, 5.1.4 to 5.1- and 2.0-channel downmixing, mono and stereo handling of SAP audio, and an updated Dolby AC-4 encoder library to support M&E + D workflows.
Both the LA-5300 and the UPMAX ISC will gain the ability to upmix to 5.1.2 and 7.1.4 and offer a longer latency version of the ISC’s upmixing algorithm for transmission applications.
“Sound is an essential and integral part of the overall experience for television viewers,” said Larry Schindel, Linear Acoustic Product Manager. “All of the capabilities afforded by Next Generation Audio, ranging from personalization options to a full Dolby® Atmos immersive experience, are available to broadcasters in the portfolio of Linear Acoustic NGA products.”
These products and features can be seen and heard in the Telos Alliance booth at the 2025 NAB Show, North Hall Booth N721. The updated Dolby AC-4 library in the LA-5300 will be available later in 2025. Other features will be available in Q2 2025 through our worldwide network of Linear Acoustic channel partners.
