5-Band Upgrade for Omnia.ONE Impresses Martz Corporate PD

Pittsburgh and Detroit stations now "Kick Butt" 

Drew Scott, the colorful Corporate Program Director for the Martz Communications stations, had some very descriptive and complimentary phrases to describe the difference to his Omnia.ONEs when he upgraded to the new, 5?band software

However, in the interest of decorum, let’s pass along a select sampling.

“We put the new 5?band software on WAMO?FM in Pittsburgh, and my first reaction was ‘oh, yeah’. WAMO is a heritage urban station , and we have been processing with Omnia.ONE all long. But the 5?band upgrade really made the difference in getting that big sound even bigger”, Drew reports. “In Detroit we upgraded the Omnia.ONE to 5?band on our Smooth Jazz station The Oasis 104.7 and we now can hear every string punk and keyboard hit without sacrificing loudness and dial presence”.

Drew reports that he also upgraded WYUL 94.7 Hits, the popular CHR station in upstate New York which includes Montreal in their primary coverage area, and the difference is dramatic.

The 5?band upgrade is provided free of charge to current Omnia ONE users in a simple download. 

Utilizing the latest advances in DSP hardware and manufacturing techniques, the Omnia.ONE FM brings you a full fiveband FM processor in a single rack space package.

Omnia.ONE FM features the same processing topology that made the original Omnia FM famous, a Wide?band AGC / Leveler followed by a four?band AGC and separate (not integrated) four?band limiter section utilizing a shared precision crossover.

Rounding out the processing is Omnia's advanced pre?emphasized final limiter / clipper......the same that is used in the Omnia 5EX / 6EX. It is what really separates Omnia from the "copycat" competition. Also: a newly designed digital stereo generator with SCA convenience input and 19kHz pilot output for synchronization to external RDS generators.
