Nautel Ltd., one of the world’s most respected broadcast transmitter manufacturers, announces it will be the first to integrate Livewire audio input in a radio transmitter.
As a result of the partnership, clients of Axia and Nautel will enjoy the singular advantage of being able to maintain a high reliability, high performance, all-digital transmission path from studio to transmitter. "We've moved the studio and the transmitter site closer," says Nautel President Peter Conlon. "With just the click of an RJ-45, you connect them, just as if they were side by side -- with no intermediary connections, no D/A conversions. How cool is that?"

Nautel joins the growing list of Axia partners offering products that work seamlessly with Axia IP-Audio networks. In addition to the Axia IP-Audio Driver, Axia products include the popular Element 2.0 modular broadcast console, the PowerStation integrated console engine, a family of “audio nodes” that allow easy mixing and matching of digital, analog and microphone audio, and a comprehensive suite of network administration and routing control software. Nautel’s upcoming VS Series family of low power FM transmitters will be the first Nautel products to support Livewire audio input.
