BIA Confirms: Omnia Clients are Nations Highest Revenue Producers

23 April 2001, Las Vegas, NV USA

According to the latest survey of U.S. radio station revenues, five of the nation’s six highest billing FM radio stations all share at least one thing in common: they use Omnia digital audio processors.

Data recently released by the BIA Financial Network in their Year 2000 Survey of radio station revenues reveal that of the 10 highest billing U.S. stations, six are FM stations. Five of those six rely on Omnia processors to help achieve the signature on-air sound that keeps their listeners loyal, including the #1 ranked station, Clear Channel’s KIIS-FM/Los Angeles. New York City’s WXRK, WLTW, WHTZ, and WKTU round out the group; together, these top Omnia stations accounted for over $284 million in gross revenue last year.

Omnia’s large-market dominance is not limited to the United States. Major international broadcasters such as the BBC, Virgin Radio, Beijing Radio, Germany’s RTL, and France’s NRJ Network and Skyrock have similarly embraced Omnia’s market-winning sound.

Omnia’s newest processor, the Omnia-6fm, is now shipping. Omnia-6 is notable as the first broadcast audio processor to feature the 96kHz, 24-bit sample rate embraced by the professional audio community for its superior clarity and resolution, and features five bands of AGC, six bands of limiting and a fully adjustable crossover network.
