Axia Audio is teaming up with Broadcasters General Store (www.bgs.cc) and Radio Systems (www.radiosystems.com) to bring a free “Livewire University” workshop to Roanoke, Virginia on Thursday, July 17, 2008 as part of BGS’ Roanoke Expo.
Livewire University is designed to educate and illuminate broadcast engineers who want to familiarize themselves with IP-Audio Networks. Presented by Axia Audio’s Ken Skok, Livewire University helps attendees understand why IP-Audio networks are so well-suited for modern, computer-centric studios, and educates them with the practical knowledge of how to benefit from the advantages of IP-Audio networks’ integration with network-aware broadcast products. Co-presenters include representatives from 25/Seven Systems, AudioScience and Radio Systems.
Among the topics to be covered:
- How IP-Audio can be used to integrate broadcast studios quickly and cost-effectively
- Integration with CAT-5 wiring systems
- Time-shifting and time compression via IP-Audio
- Sound cards and sound card replacements
- Integration of automation systems
Livewire University Roanoke is free to attendees, and takes place Thursday, July 17 from 3:30PM to 5PM at the Roanoke Civic Center, 710 Williamson Road NE, Roanoke.
