Omnia has announced that Omnia-6, the newest in the company's line of all-digital audio processors, is now shipping.
Noting that this has been the single most successful product launch in the company’s history, Telos Systems president Frank Foti says reports from clients have been overwhelmingly positive.
"We've worked a long time to make sure we have the best, most powerful audio processor available, while making sure the user interface was flexible and easy to work with," says Foti. "We have very high expectations, as do our clients. They tell us that Omnia-6 exceeds all their expectations for high quality audio processing."
Omnia-6 is the world's first broadcast audio processor to use a 96kHz sampling rate and 24-bit resolution. "Processing at this sample rate produces stunningly clear, loud output quality," says Foti. Omnia-6 features 5 bands of AGC (Automatic Gain Control), 6 bands of limiting and – another Omnia first – fully user-adjustable crossovers. As with all Omnia processors, Omnia-6 is DAB ready and ITU BS 412 compliant.
Omnia processors are in use at top stations across the U.S., including five of the six highest-billing radio stations in the country. They are also the processor of choice for top stations across Europe, Asia and Latin America including the most popular stations in London, Paris, Beijing, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Helsinki and Munich, to name a few.
