New York, NY (October 17, 2018) – The Telos Alliance TV Solutions Group is shaking up global broadcast markets with innovative new tools for networked communications and cost-effective realtime loudness control. These new tools are on display at the NAB NY show in booth N118 - including the new Linear Acoustic® ARC (Automatic Realtime Control) next-generation television processor, the matrix-free Telos Infinity IP Intercom, and Minnetonka Audio’s AudioTools Server - further strengthening the Telos Alliance’s lineup of audio solutions for broadcasters based on their proven leadership and expertise.
“All of these products demonstrate our commitment to recognizing the challenges our customers face every day, and developing the best tools possible to help meet those challenges head on,” said John Schur, President of The Telos Alliance TV Solutions Group. “ARC was very well received when it was introduced at IBC this year and really resonated with attendees, Infinity has lived up to our expectations following its initial installations, and ATS continues to be the go-to solution for automated file-based workflows.”
The new Linear Acoustic® ARC (Automatic Realtime Control) next generation television processor was specifically designed to provide high-quality loudness control in applications where multi-channel audio, high channel density, and coded audio aren’t needed or required. As a result, ARC offers the most critical features for two-channel broadcasters at an affordable price point with no compromise in audio quality.
Linear Acoustic ARC provides a “set and forget” LUFS output loudness target, selectable profiles for easy compliance with EBU R128 and ATSC A/85 recommendations, 2-channel (stereo or mono) processing for up to four independent programs, the latest generation of APTO™ adaptive loudness processing, and more, all at an expected MRSP of only $3,995.00 USD (approximately €3,950.00 Euro). ARC is expected to ship in January 2019.
The Telos Infinity IP Intercom converges voice communication and contribution audio on a single IT backbone employing the latest standards-based VoIP and Livewire+ AES67 AoIP transport. Telos Infinity IP Intercom replaces outmoded matrix technology and provides dedicated features and functionality without compromise or limitations.
Being matrix-free allows plug-and-play networked hardware and software devices to be added to the system without ever worrying that the number of available ports on a matrix might be exceeded. Any networked intercom endpoint can be accessed through the Telos Infinity Dashboard and made available wherever needed - internally or on-air. And since Telos Infinity IP Intercom natively supports Livewire+ AES67, it seamlessly connects with TVSG’s AoIP products as well as those from other supporting manufacturers.
Minnetonka AudioTools Server, an enterprise software system for file-based workflows, offers a complete solution for managing and processing linear PCM, Dolby E, Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus content, as well as the audio essence in MXF and QuickTime clips. The current version, v4.5, now includes WorkflowEditor, a new graphical user interface that allows users to quickly create and edit workflows, plus feature enhancements and new processing modules. WorkflowEditor integrates seamlessly with Telestream Vantage, allowing workflows to be managed and controlled from within Vantage.
