Broadcasters from the Radio and TV-Video industry will be able to experience Telos, Omnia and Axia equipment in booths 401, 403, 405 of the Latin American Broadcast Show 2009.
Kirk Harnack, Director of International Business Development for Telos Systems, states that “Latin American Broadcasters will get hands-on experience with the award winning Axia PowerStation as well as the new intercom system from Axia. We'll have a Telos iPort on display and you can also hear why the Omnia ONE audio processor is the most popular way to sound great, over the air and Internet."
Winner of two major awards at NAB 2009 and with early orders by Cumulus Media and Southern California Public Radio, PowerStation is Axia’s latest innovation for IP-based broadcast consoles. Mr. Harnack goes on to say “This is the best innovation for building world-class broadcast studios quickly. And even though Axia networks save broadcasters money, the PowerStation costs even less.” PowerStation makes IP-Audio even easier to deploy by combining six separate devices — a DSP mixing engine, a console CPU and power supply, audio I/O, GPIO and an Ethernet switch – into one unit, a self-contained console engine that’s engineered to ensure years of reliable, trouble-free service.
The new IP Intercom Networks from Axia have the same advantages broadcasters have already realized by using Axia networks: Less cost, less wiring and less setup time, just to name a few. With a lower-installed cost by using Cat-5, Axia IP Intercoms plug right into Livewire networks for tight integration with Axia broadcast consoles and routing systems. It uses that console operators’ existing console mic and preview speaker to provide seamless intercom communications right from the board.
Complimenting Axia’s legacy of innovation is the 8-Button OLED SoftSwitch providing highvisibility Router Control from any studio turret or equipment rack. Its eight bright, sharp OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) readouts can display anything from simple text to color photos, and can be seen from nearly any angle — across the table, or across the room. Use PathfinderPC to program custom routing commands you can invoke instantly with the touch of a button.
The Zephyr iPort from Telos houses eight stereo MPEG codecs, in a single 2RU box, capable of 8 bi-directional or 16 encode-only channels. The iPort can be used for any application where MPEG encoding and/or decoding is needed for transmission over IP channels - satellite uplinks, Internet streaming, broadcasting to mobile phones, studio-to-transmitter links, audio distribution systems – just to name a few.
Enabling broadcasters to use public IP networks and mobile phone data services for high quality, minimally delayed, trouble free audio transmission is the Zephyr/IP from Telos. The new 2RU studio rack-mount version packs all of the power of the original Z/IP into a slim, space-saving frame-size while ready for action with minimal setup. The Z/IP Mixer combines the versatility of the original Zephyr/IP with the utility of a digital four-channel stereo mixer, all in a rugged, roadready portable chassis.
From Omnia Audio is the Omnia ONE, ready to meet the challenges of just about any application where signal processing is needed. The Omnia ONE quickly adapts to your needs by simple software downloads. It can be used in the studio, for transmission, and even in networked applications, thanks to its Livewire™ interface. It even has dual software banks allowing you too easily switch between styles. The Omnia ONE packs an impressive list of standard features into its 1RU frame, including Wideband AGC followed by Four-Band AGC and Four-Band Peak Limiter sections, Browser-based remote control and configuration, and Analog XLR balanced inputs and outputs / Digital AES/EBU input, output and external Sync input. The Omnia ONE broke all records as the most successful audio processor introduction in history. “Broadcasters have bought over 3,500 of them in less then two years” reports Mr. Harnack.
Omnia 8x combines the power of eight discrete three-band stereo Omnia audio processors in a single, networked box to dramatically improve the sound of your streams. It uses the LivewireTM standard for professional networked audio over Ethernet, so you can connect directly to your Axia IP-Audio Network or pair it with an Axia AES/EBU or Analog Node for use as a standalone, highdensity audio processor.
