Promotion to new post reflects company’s increased international presence
25 August, 2006, Cleveland, OH USA
Telos Systems is pleased to announce the appointment of Kirk Harnack to Director of International Business Development. Harnack’s position is part of a corporate expansion and restructuring designed to accommodate the company’s dramatic International and domestic growth, at the same time building deeper client relationships.
Since joining Telos in 2001, Harnack has served as US Director of Sales since 2003, where his wealth of broadcast, technical, and managerial experience has helped solidify the company’s leadership position in the broadcast field. Prior to that, Kirk’s two decades of engineering experience included positions as Vice President of Engineering for Scott Studios Corporation, Director of Engineering for Delta Radio, Inc., and Director of Engineering for South Seas Broadcasting, Inc.
"Our companies are all about helping broadcasters,” says Harnack, “helping them produce more content – better content - and making it sound better. We're broadcasters ourselves. We've ‘been there, done that,’ and are still doing it today. Telos is a trusted name in broadcast telephony and codecs; Omnia is the most-requested audio processor brand, improving audio in radio, TV, cable, satellite, and Internet broadcasting; and Axia – using worldwide data standards – lets broadcasters route and mix audio and data in an efficient, unified IP system. I'm looking forward to talking with broadcasters around the world about these exciting technologies!”
In his newly-created position, Harnack will oversee international sales and marketing initiatives for Telos / Omnia / Axia. Harnack will be directly involved in the sales and distribution of the company’s product lines; he will oversee the company’s education programs, and will continue to be involved in demonstrations, education, and training. He’ll also be an integral part of international trade show activities and related market development, working with the company’s international distributors.
“Kirk is a tremendous talent and resource for our organization, and I’m delighted to have him spearheading our international efforts,” states Telos Systems’ Managing Director Denny Sanders. “With the explosive growth of the Axia division, and the increasing demand for Telos and Omnia offerings, this reorganization and expansion will allow us to keep pace more efficiently. We look forward to enhancing our ability to help create solutions for our customers’ needs.”
